Places to Stay
Hostels
There
are a number of hostels in Tenerife that offer quite low rates. While
you can't expect five star service in them, they
usually have
their own individual charm and specific appeal. Animal lovers would
enjoy the back-to-nature environment of the Albergue
Rural Mamio Verde
in La Orotavo while golfers might be surprised at the low rates at Green
Golf Resort and windsurfers
would feel right at home in the Hostal Carel in
El Medano.Find these and more on the Tenerife
Hostels page.
Costa Del Silencio Accommodation
Costa Del Silencio is quieter than the lively neighbouring resorts
of Las Americas and Los Cristianos yet still within easy reach of
them. It is possible to book accommodation
in Costa Del Silencio and be picked up from there for most tours and trips. (e.g. the Loro Parque bus picks up from Club Marino).
Las Americas Accommodation
Whatever your budget, Las Americas caters to you. Find here
a quick selection of low budget to deluxe accommodation
in Las Americas.
Tenerife Holiday Villas
I don't think anything can beat a private
holiday villa in Tenerife - with its own pool of course - for sheer
relaxation. Some of the villas sleep eight or more and therefore
they make
a
good choice for groups. Doing your own thing, in your own
time, in beautiful surroundings and in absolute peaceful privacy.
Aaaaahhhh. Where do I book?
Things To Do in Tenerife
Tenerife is a fantastic destination for all kinds of watersports, diving, windsurfing and novelty tours like jeep safaris, bike rafting or trike tours.
Golfing in Tenerife is a big thing but Tenerife is still only in its infancy as a golfing destination. With several excellent courses on the island it is a holiday sector that is set to grow and the hotels are sitting up and taking notice with new golfing package deals. Find information and links to the different courses on the Tenerife Golfing pages.
Themeparks in Tenerife
If you are on holiday with children
there are many themeparks that they will enjoy including
Loro Parque in Puerto de la Cruz and it's sister Siam
Park, the extravagant
Thai-themed water kingdom
in Costa Adeje .
There are others like Pueblo Chico 'un mundo en miniatura', in La Orotava
and the Monkey Park and Amazonia Parks between Los Cristianos and
Guaza which may be less well known but that are considerably cheaper and
offer a less costly day out that the kids will still get a kick out of.
Thrills and Spills
Tenerife offers a few speed thrills too. There are motocross raleys,
go-karting, quadbikes for hire, jet-skis, para-gliding and all the
usual resort kicks but for those who enjoy being out in the great outdoors
Tenerife rock-climbing and hiking can't be beat.
Where to Eat...

Finding food in Tenerife is as easy as throwing a rock. Wherever it lands (unless of course you are atop Teide at the time), you will find a place selling grub. But what if you are hungry for Chinese food? Hmmm. That's a dodgy one because there are a lot of bloody awful Chinese restaurants in town.
And sometimes you don't want a slap-up meal. You just want a half decent light snack for the kids that won't cost the earth and didn't come out of Mickey D's. Have a look through the restaurants and snack bars listed on the pages below for some ideas (and honest opinions).
